Newspeak in the 21st century

Duckspeak, crimethink, goodsex, double plus good, 2+2=5, kinetic military action. What do these words have in common? They represent Newspeak. If you're unfamiliar with Newspeak, it's a "fictional" language described by George Orwell in his book, "1984."
So why the hell would I mention a fictional language you might be wondering. It's pretty damn simple. Granted, if you've never read "1984" you couldn't have noticed that kinetic military action isn't an Orwellian Newspeak phrase. It was first used by Ben Rhodes, a White House aide, on March 23, 2011. He used it when he was describing the U.S. war in Libya. Yes, that's precisely what it's a euphemism for, lethal force. These were his precise words:

I think what we are doing is enforcing a resolution that has a very clear set of goals, which is protecting the Libyan people, averting a humanitarian crisis, and setting up a no-fly zone... Obviously that involves kinetic military action, particularly on the front end.

The instance described above isn't the only time a government official used it to mean war. On February 11, 2015 Obama asked  Congress to
authorize the use of U.S. forces [against ISIL] in ... [ground] missions to enable kinetic strikes
Umm, wait. What are kinetic strikes? Yes, they're fucking bombs and missiles. But that would be too aggressive-sounding eh? Oh shit. Better keep this quiet, this is a Thoughtcrime. The Thought Police (aka government, parents, classmates, teachers, churches and other forms of authority) are in charge of keeping you in check. They make sure you use the "right" words that are politically correct.

Soon, as Orwell predicted, a lot of words will be phased out, replaced by Newspeak. It's happening today and will continue to happen if we aren't conscious of it. Imagine the headlines in the future. Instead of, "A policeman brutally assaulted a handicapped man," you'll see, "A Goodpol [good policeman] kinetically adjusted a minusleg Prole [working class citizen]" Don't worry, the minusleg Prole was given a goodtrip to joycamp [forced labor camp]. Speak up for unGod's sake! Do our society a double plus good favor and stick with Oldspeak and Oldthink, otherwise we'll soon all be unPersons.

Peace love and unBubble gum!

Please watch this clip, and just imagine at the end Obama saying, "Big Brother loves you."

Another extremely entertaining clip. This is satire of course.

Medicated society

I think I'm just a prime example of American pride
Cause I'm always on the medication, all of the time
Cause the doctor says I'm not well
Cause my brain just can't keep still
it's always dreamin' up deranged stuff while my body sleeps at night

"Plastic Ocean" by Jack Ventimiglia

Do you remember in school when it was lunch time and the school authorities came around to call kids for their daily dose? It seems like society in the US has become indifferent to medicating children and young adults. To me, it seems like this is the main reason for the extreme difference in the number of school shootings and other violence in the US as opposed to other countries. In fact, there have been so many school shootings in the US that Wikipedia deemed it necessary to have a separate page on just US School shootings.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States
Note the amount of shootings in the 20th and 21st centuries.

When researching the history of ADHD, I found an article on healthline.com which stated the following
http://prntscr.com/7vlubd

When you hear of a school shooting, as a rule, you'll soon see that the child/young adult was on some type of medication. So, why are we doing this to our young generation?

No one will argue that ADD/ADHD are over-diagnosed. It takes as much as a parent complaining to a doctor, and the kid is put on meds. It's that simple. Yes, there are standardized assessments, but those are totally incapable of objectively evaluating for such issues (In the author's opinion). This is also evidenced by the fact the ADD/ADHD has no other treatment other than medication. There is no counselling or psychiatric help, it's purely drugs.

Personally, to me, the entire American society has lost touch with reality. TV, especially music videos and shows are a perfect example. Have you ever noticed how popular music videos are snippets that jump back and forth between shots, and different angles? This isn't a mistake on the part of the director. This is what people want. They have no patience and the attention span of a young bull full of sperm.

Take a moment to reevaluate what's going on. It's up to the generation that's going to have kids to solve this problem. Don't let a doctor ruin your child.

Stop this bullshit!

Induced Sleep Paralysis vs. Spontaneous Sleep Paralysis

Update

Since posting this on my last.fm page, I hadn't really used this method. Sometimes, like tonight, when I stay up until early in the morning, it comes on by itself. The difference between inducing it and having it creep up on you is that you have more control when you induce.

The past couple of nights have been rough because the associated sounds (like something running into the room, or breathing heavily are honestly fucking terrifying). The half-awake half-dream state is extremely frightening if you don't desire to experience it.

Imagine you're home alone and you decide to stay up late. You finish watching the last few minutes of a Youtube video and get ready for bed. You fall asleep instantly and you're jettisoned into the half sleep state. All of a sudden, you hear quick footsteps running towards your room through the hall. They stop right at your doorway, as if there is some invisible barrier there. Then you hear breathing, talking, laughing, giggling. Take my word for it, it's not pleasant.

I recommend inducing, otherwise go to bed on time!

Here's a refresher on my technique for inducing Sleep Paralysis!

================================================

For this to happen you must be relatively tired (not likely to happen in the daytime).

1) Lie down on your back

2) Make sure you are in the most comfortable position possible. (Legs extended, arms at sides, head under pillow).

3) This is the hard part----You must now relax every part/limb/muscle of your body. This may take >20 min. (What I do is, start from toes and work my way up paying close attention to limbs and head/neck). The relaxation phase works best with eyes closed-- don't fall asleep!!

4) You must relax your body until you feel a buzz pulsating under your skin.

5) At this point, you must open your eyes (This is how it works for me). After approximately 2-3 min of constant buzzing you may FALL asleep.

In some cultures sleep paralysis is associated with succubi, witches, demons, and most notably alien abduction stories.

 (Wikipedia)
Many people who commonly enter sleep paralysis also suffer from narcolepsy. In African Americans, panic disorder occurs with sleep paralysis more frequently than in Caucasians.[12] Some reports read that various factors increase the likelihood of both paralysis and hallucinations. These include:

Sleeping in a face upwards or supine position
Irregular sleeping schedules; naps, sleeping in, sleep deprivation
Increased stress
Sudden environmental/lifestyle changes
A lucid dream that immediately precedes the episode.
Excessive consumption of alcohol coupled with lack of adequate sleep.[13]

Symptoms-- Feeling of weight on chest.
Noise- like engine motor, deep throbbing pulsations.
Extreme fear in some cases.
Inability to move.
Can occur in stages and/or episodes of dream-like paralysis accompanied by hallucinations
 (Wikipedia)

The overall goal of inducing sleep paralysis, other than the above mentioned is to eventually induce lucid dreams.

Hide your teeth
Sink lower

Strengthen the lead
stamp out the unneeded

slip outside frothing
from the mouth

Sweaty flames
lick my fearful mind

Trample, thunder
I must travel, I must thunder.

Autopsy

I witnessed my first autopsy yesterday.

I was walking to my next class which was in the city hospital #4. Upon entering through the gate I noticed a bustle of lab coats and light blue hats. Wheeled him into the courtyard. I was asked to help carry him inside and place him on the table. I agreed because I rarely refuse anyone anything. Instantly, I felt his gravity pulling; his mindless body...or body-less mind. Unloaded the body onto the table, like dead meat.

His stillness caused me to tumble into a suicidal mental storm. I couldn't concentrate on the pathologist's words. Seeing a double leg amputation was shit compared to witnessing the pillaging of the human body. Was he just the sum of his material visible body parts--head, brain, eyes, nerves, neck, shoulders, ribs, sternum, arms, forearms, fingers, muscles, skin, loose flaps of fat hanging like vines torn through. Perhaps he was only this; I do not believe that.

Uneasiness clung to me. My higher brain function.

This is a poem I wrote a few years ago. I think it captures my recent experience well.

Stare

Her stare
Was shallow
her mouth in a twist
words bounce blows
no reaction

She is lost between
illness and purification
a child of organized humanity
The stove between the stairs
blew intimately unto her feelings.
no reaction

Silence coordinated among individuals
Confusion of the masses exterminated by fate
Seemigly identifiable stench seeks detachment
no reaction

She controls my every move, a slight twinge reflects a twinge in myself
She sits undaunted so that her flowers are bare
I bellow sedition so that she may hear
no reaction

Her laugh, a grave in which her sorrows lie.
A light treason in brain function
She dances softly to crafted solutions
Arms lurch to suggest relationship
I tell her I once knew, but now do not what is contained in a stare
